So -

I think the main problem here is that you are neglecting basic development.

1. You&#039;ve put your pieces into squares where it can be attacked. Thereby letting him gain time at your expense.

2. 16..d4 - You tried to play in the center while undeveloped. A recipe for disaster. He has more force at his disposal at that moment, and so the prudent move is.. guess what Bb2 :)

Even now, i lose games because of the above two factors myself. The lesson i guess is that you have to bring your whole army out first, then you can think about things as &quot;play&quot; in the center, etc..
